What a great evening!

We had a very busy evening at our inaugural Friends Event on 24 May.

A group of existing and new friends joined the trustees and staff for a series of demonstrations and talks in the hospital atrium, followed by tours of the Radiology department and Physio Gym.

Thanks to everyone involved in setting up the evening and giving your time to share with our guests some of the amazing equipment that the Friends have been able to buy for the hospital, with the benefit of generous community donations.

And a special thanks to our existing friends and volunteers, plus the new friends and volunteers that joined us during the evening.

Spread the news .. we need more friends and fundraising

Please share with your friends and contacts the great work we will continue to do with your help to ensure Lymington Hospital can have essential equipment and facilities over and above that which the NHS can provide.

We have setup the atrium, welcomed our guests, demonstrations have started and refreshments are being enjoyed … “please take your seats and we will begin!”.

Charlotte Nash, Jacqui Brown, Hannah Harwood, Jess Heyworth and Sophia Watts demonstrate stroke mobility tools, community bladder and artery equipment, the trauma trolley and stroke rehabilitation aids … “thank you to the Friends, this great equipment helps us to improve care for patients!”.

Arthur opens the event .. “great to see you all. Community support enables us to help the hospital buy modern equipment for our amazing radiology service. We are also designing new hospital signage to help you”.

Mike notes valuable patient benefits .. “our recent donations improve care for stroke, dementia and physio patients. We are planning new wellbeing facilities for patients and staff and are working on a longer-term hospital rail project”.

Wendy explains .. “the work of the trustees, manager and volunteers brings great value to the hospital and patients. Thank you for your essential support .. we cannot do this without you, and need more help please!”

“Thanks to all of you for helping us have a very successful evening”.
