Winning hand for Lymington Hospital

Every year at their AGM, Lymington Bridge Club members decide who will be the Club’s charity for the year.  2023/24 was the year for Lymington Hospital Friends and Chrissy Thomas (Membership Secretary) can be see presenting a cheque for £829.30 to Ian Hynd (operations manager) and David Mackew (Trustee) of the Friends.

Ian and David said

“Thank you to Chrissy and all the Bridge club members for their generous donation. It is with thanks to the donations we receive from many clubs and societies who make us their Charity of the year, that we are able to provide extra facilities to our local hospital. You can find how to support our charity at www.lymingtonhospitalfriends.org. ”

Chrissy explained that

“We wanted to support the hospital and the money was raised from various social activities involving bridge, including a charity afternoon tea and various supper evenings plus a Christmas draw at the Christmas Party 2023.

If you would like to know more about playing bridge or see what’s beyond our ‘yellow door’, we have an Open Day on Saturday 7th September from 10 am where you can pop in for coffee and cake”.
