Pitch your ideas in our Dragons’ Den
Lymington Hospital Friends work with staff and managers to set up projects, design publicity, and fundraise to support the hospital to purchase new equipment and facilities that benefit Lymington patients.
We are launching a new initiative with hospital managers to encourage staff to present your ideas in a fun way, based on a pilot run with some of the stroke team on Deerleap Ward.
We were so impressed with the pilot Dragons’ Den … that we are now opening it out to all staff.
How did the pilot work?
Carly, Beth, Nicola and Michelle presented a request for help to set up a new community stroke service.
They based their pitch on six key questions …
This was very helpful and it enabled the friends to see the value of their idea and work out how we could help.
They had signed off their plans with their manager and it’s now running with patients
Now it’s your turn … if you don’t tell us your idea, we won’t be able to help!
Six Key Questions for you to answer
- What are your primary goals for your service?
- Why is your new or improved service important?
- What are the benefits for your Patients (and Staff)?
- What will your new/improved service deliver?
- What steps are needed to make it work?
- What help do you need from LHF?

The Friends support new initiatives over and above those that the NHS can fund and provide, this does not normally extend to the provision of standard hospital equipment.
Do you want to pitch an idea?
To put forward an idea, please initially send an email with a brief outline of your proposal to operations@lymhf.org.uk
Remember, if you don’t pitch your ideas … we can’t help!
