Brokenhurst Manor’s golfers ace £15,000 for Lymington Hospital

After an incredible year of fundraising, Brokenhurst Manor Golf Club Ladies’ Captain Mary Hayter and Men’s Captain Chris Wiles presented an incredible £15,025 to Lymington Hospital Friends towards the hospital’s Endoscopy Appeal.

Mary Hayter explained
“Lymington Hospital delivers a tremendous service to local people and many club members and their families receive excellent care from our local hospital.
Chris and I nominated Lymington Hospital Friends as our joint Captains’ charity of the year, and we held many golfing and social events to raise money.
I’m thrilled that our members all chipped in to enable us to donate over £15,000 towards the cost of this important new equipment”.
Accepting the ‘big cheque’, Arthur England (Trustee and Joint Chair of Lymington Hospital Friends) responded

“On behalf of Lymington’s Endoscopy team and their patients, a big thank you to Mary, Chris and everyone involved at Brokenhurst Manor for their charity of the year fundraising.

The new state-of-the-art scopes will enable a more accurate diagnosis and an increased level of comfort for patients undergoing a colonoscopy. With this equipment, Lymington Hospital now has double the capacity and can treat more patients locally.

It is tremendous to have support from many local clubs and societies to ensure we can continue to raise funds in the community to improve patient care above that provided by the NHS alone”.
