Community Stroke Classes

A big thank you …

For their fundraising efforts during 2024, Court Lodge Care Home in Lymington nominated Lymington Hospital Friends as the charity to receive their support.

A number of events were held during the year, including the Court Lodge 35th Anniversary Garden Party last summer, with a raffle, tombola and hot dog sales. Staff also took part in a Halloween Marathon run in Woodside Park, dressed up in fancy dress. The year was rounded off with a Christmas Fayre and cake sale.

A big cheque for £1,617 was presented by Rebecca Hannam, Court Lodge Manager to Arthur England, Lymington Friends Joint Chair and Trustee, and David Mackew, Trustee.

In presenting the cheque, Rebecca shared that

”The residents, families and friends who helped in this effort would like to use this to support further work in the Courtyard Garden at the hospital and to provide some raised flower beds elsewhere in the hospital to be enjoyed by the patients.”

Arthur England added:

It is great to come along to receive this cheque and to meet some of the residents who took part in this sterling effort.  We really appreciate support from local organisations to help us to raise money to regularly support the work of Lymington Hospital and improve patient care.
